“Architecture is the reaching out for the truth.” Louis Kahn
  • “The challenge was immense; the solution was exquisite. The original was pedestrian; the result was soaring.

We presented Amy with a challenge to transform a building in a great location with incredible views. Everything else about the existing building, however, was ordinary and unimaginative.  We were permitted to build on the roof and we had to integrate the new with the old.

No detail was too small to escape Amy Cohn’s attention. Every square meter counted.  Every closet, stairway and tread was meticulously designed. She brilliantly created lighting and ceilings that gave the impression of great height. Every view, every contour was pleasing to the eye and visually exciting. She deftly mixed the old with the new. Instead of considering the existing framework as limiting, she met the challenge and transformed it into a visual excitement that fully integrated the incomparable views into the apartment. It became a feast for the eyes.

Moreover, Amy is a delight to work with. She was patient and never became exasperated notwithstanding the numerous challenges. Her intelligence, practicality and grace informed every meeting. Building and refurbishing in Israel is a challenge. Contractors and bureaucracy do not make building projects easy.  Amy makes the process as pleasurable as can reasonably be expected. I can think of no better partner than Amy to fulfill the mitzvah of building in and beautifying Yerushalayim.”

services and that of her highly qualified associates.

Her quick understanding on issues along with a great architectural ability is outstanding.
Working with her is an absolute pleasure and I quickly received plans that were exacting and
ready for execution. The results have all been superb. I could not be more pleased.

I am happy to refer others that seek architectural services here in Israel and feel assured they
will get the very best results from such a wonderful and talented individual.”

Her ideas and integration to fruition were perfect.
Her patience with us and availability were stellar.
    Her staff was very professional.
Her billing was timely, correct and very fair.
Her integrity at every facet was of great importance as this job was conducted from overseas and we relied strongly on Amy’s decisions and advice.

  • “If you are looking for someone who is passionate about their work, listens to client’s needs and concerns and is diligent in following up then pick Amy Cohn. But most important, if you want a design that is high energy, with a singular visual impact then pick Amy Cohn. For the routine and mundane look, of course, you can pick someone else. It’s your decision!”
